Description
It is a blend that embodies the mineral style trait of Nieport and the “winey” fruity character that TANAKA 1789 X CHARTIER is known for. The result is a very vinous blend having the soul of sake but also the liveliness of spirit and the fullness of a high end quality white wine. The first of two planned collaborative blends, this first sake is a blend of seven junmai sakes resulting in a profile that is at once dense while fresh, deep but light, round and so vertical, a sake with umami, green tea expressions, some reduction and some saltiness. Capturing the best of both worlds of Japanese sake and European white wine. The second sake blend will be available in a limited quantity of 1,842 bottles commemorating the founding of the Nieport port house in 1842.
